Camden Markets and Shops
In all there are six markets that make up the world famous Camden market experience. Unfortunately, due to a fire, Canal Market is closed until further notice. However, you will still find something to suit all your fancies, while taking in the sights and sounds that make Camden markets a must see.
Camden Lock Market is a shopping experience you won’t soon forget. Relish in the diverse and multicultural food on offer, as you take a stroll through this popular weekend market. Going from stall to stall you will find a variety of goods for sale; including antiques, clothes, furniture and art among other things.
Inverness Street Market is a traditional market, selling fresh fruit and veg, clothes and bags, and is central to some of Camden’s best restaurants.
Buck Street Market is the smallest of those that make up Camden market. However, if you want to experience a traditional street market, do not overlook its charm and history.
Stables Market is the largest of all the Camden Markets. Made up of a collection of converted stables, warehouses and a Victorian horse hospital, this market has it all. Wind your way through the cobbled alleyways, where you will find everything from vintage clothing to paintings, and a number of eateries.
There are plenty of great hotels in the area to facilitate your stay including The Corner House Hotel, and the Holiday Inn Camden Lock, on Jamestown Road.
