About Knightsbridge
Situated on the south side of Hyde Park, Knightsbridge is an exclusive area of London for both properties and shopping. It is no surprise then that local residents can claim Harrods and Harvey Nichols among their local department stores. Knightsbridge also boasts some of the highest prices for property in the world. The current average for a property in the area is a whopping £3,300,000. Sloane Street is where you will fine Harvey Nichols, and Harrods is located on Brompton Road, with a direct entrance via a pedestrian tunnel from the tube station.
Beauchamp Place and Walton Street provide shoppers with an extensive range of smaller, yet no less elegant, stores to explore. On Beauchamp Place you will find Suzanne Neville, which sells high class bridal and evening wear; McKenna & Co, purveyor of fine antiques; and a whole host of other vendors and restaurants including Nozomi, who serve high class Japanese cuisine. If it is fashion you are looking for, over on Walton Street you can accessorise with shoes and bags in Guiseppe Zanotti Design, pick up an elegant necklace at Van Peterson Designs, or get a quote for a home make-over from Percy Bass, interior design experts.
Other well known names in the area include Prada, Giorgio Armani, Jimmy Choo, Dior and Gianfranco Ferre. However, take the time to explore and enjoy the full shopping experience available in Knightsbridge. With so much to see, you will not leave disappointed.
For those who prefer to stay in the area, there are a variety of hotels to choose from, some of the most well-known being The Millenium London Knightsbridge, The Berkeley, The Jumeirah Carlton Tower and The Bulgari Hotel.
