London Oxford Street Shopping Experience

London, Oxford Street is a name that is synonymous with shopping. With over 300 shops, the Westminster thoroughfare lays claim to Europe’s busiest shopping street. A number of national and international brand names have their flagship stores on Oxford Street; including Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer. As well as which there are a selection of smaller independent names, that all offer the full Oxford Street shopping experience.  There is no doubt that Oxford Street is an important destination for shopping in the nation’s capital.

Oxford Street generally adheres to traditional British shopping hours of 09:00am – 08:00pm, with opening times extended to 09:00pm on Thursdays and shorter hours on weekends. To truly get the best out of the experience, however, you will need a full day’s shopping. Luckily there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and fast food outlets where you can recharge your batteries. Popular venues include Moose London, where a realistic Canadian ski lodge experience is created in the heart of London; and Mother Mash, serving up traditional wares from the humble potato to British gourmet pies.
