Heathrow Terminal 3 has undergone major refurbishment since its original opening as The Oceanic Terminal in 1961.  Home of the first moving walkway in the UK, Terminal 3 is the main hub for a number of long haul carriers including Emirates, Qantas, Cathay Pacific and Virgin Atlantic.  Whilst there are no hotels offering direct access to Heathrow Terminal 3, both The Park Inn and The Renaissance Hotel on Bath Road provide a convenient overnight stop off point for travellers with an early morning flight.  A private minicab transfer is recommended for particularly early departures from Heathrow Terminal 3.
